There comes a moment in our lives when we encounter our person—the one who sees us beyond our flaws, embraces us with all our complexities, both the good, the bad, and the ugly. This person becomes the catalyst for our transformation, inspiring us to become the best version of ourselves. For me, I met this person during my first year of college in 1995, and our remarkable friendship lasted for 14 years until January 30, 2009. Dominic did much more than just being a friend; he was a guide, a support, my greatest cheerleader, and firmly believed in my potential. His unwavering love propelled me into the woman I am today.
The Riot Foundation is not just a nonprofit initiative; it is a tribute to the man who shaped my journey. Dominic's influence extended far beyond me; he was a beacon of light, love, joy, and inspiration for many others. Even 15 years after his departure, the void he left is still deeply felt within his community.
Our foundation strives to extend Dominic's legacy by being a source of support, empowerment, and inspiration for those who need it most. We aim to create a ripple effect of positive change, just as Dominic did for so many people.
